Islamabad The summer is yet to start but the residents now have to pay increased prices to buy water through private tanker service to meet their requirements.
“We have been paying Rs350 for one water tanker but first they raised the price to Rs400 and now they are charging Rs450. So it means the prices are likely to increase more after start of the summer,” said Aiman Zahra, a resident of Sector E-11.
She said they meet the water requirements through private tanker service but increasing prices would make it difficult for them to afford this facility. They said that private water tanker suppliers help the residents meet the water requirements but it is generally seen that they cash in on the miseries of the residents during the summer.
