PESHAWAR: President Industrialists Association Peshawar Zarak Khan Khattak has criticised has criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial coalition government for its failure to implement the industrial policy devised three years ago.
He was speaking at the ceremony where he was handed over charge of the office of the Industrial Association Peshawar (IAP) by outgoing president of the association, Ghazanfar Bilour.
“The present government has lost a lot of credibility in the eyes of the business community for its inability to execute the industrial policy,” he added.
Zarak Khattak, who is son of the PTI Senator Nauman Wazir, was recently elected as president of the IAP after the election of Ghazanfar Bilour, son of Awami National Party (ANP) leader, Ilyas Bilour, as president of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
An IAP press release said the newly-elected President Zarak Khattak was quick to come hard on the provincial government at the ceremony for announcing an Industrial Policy in 2015 and not implementing it.
Zarak said, “An Industrial Policy was announced three year ago in which the industrialists were shown a rosy picture.
