Two dead in Landhi
A man was killed in an armed attack in Landhi in the wee hours of Sunday while another was killed in a road accident in the same locality.
According to police and rescue officials, an unidentified assailant opened fire at 29-year-old Amanullah, the son of Gulroz Khan in Landhi’s Rehri Goth.
Aman suffered severe bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was shifted for autopsy to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The motive behind the murder was not immediately clear.
Meanwhile, another person lost his life in Landhi on Sunday in a road accident. Rescue officials said that 42-year-old Murtaza, the son of Muhammad, was en route in the locality’s Bhains Colony when a fast moving vehicle ran him over. Murtaza died on the spot while the driver of the vehicle escaped the site of the accident. The victim’s body too was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.
