ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan while expressing serious reservations over statements of the PML-N leadership about him on Thursday said the harsh language being used by Maryam Nawaz was taking the party to the blind alley.

In a statement, Chaudhry Nisar said that he had been tolerating the situation and matters in the party with patience for the last one year and had tried his best that he should not give such a reaction which could harm the party.

However, he said that some meaningful poetry recited by Nawaz Sharif and sentences used by him and statement from his daughter Maryam Nawaz, forced him to react.

“Mian sahib, it is not a human being who does kindness rather it is Almighty Allah who is beneficent. If you feel that you have done kindness with people, there may be many persons who have done kindness and helped you in reaching this status today. You must be obliged to them and have feelings for them,” Nisar said.

He said the harsh language being used by Maryam Nawaz was taking the party to the blind alley and could have responded to her in the same tone. “But still I have respect for the Sharif family,” he said.

However, in response Chaudhry Nisar uttered two verses from Munir Niazi’s poem “ I am imposing this restriction only for today,” he said adding he reserved the right to give detailed statement if leveling of baseless allegations against him through some puppets continued.

Nisar said while disassociating himself from the national politics, he confined himself to a constituency but he had been targeted by some particular elements for the last eight to ten months. “My personality was made target by using taunting sentences, self-made jokes and mentioning incidents which never occurred,” he said.

He pointed out apparently a person having no old relation with the PML-N and without any political background was being used as pawn to target him (Nisar). “It is a fact that no puppet can act on the basis of its own force,” he said.
