PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is using government helicopter on commercial basis, it was revealed here Thursday. According to sources, the helicopters was purchased in 2007 and afterwards it was used on commercial purposes many times since then.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) sources said that the situation came to light during probe against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for his alleged misuse of the provincial government helicopter as the documents submitted by administration department of the province made these revelation. NAB sources further said that probe was being launched by the Bureau into the commercial use of MI-17 provincial government. The NAB would also investigate as to how much money had been collected by using the provincial government helicopter commercially and whether this amount was deposited in the exchequer or not.
