ISLAMABAD: The sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), while expressing its annoyance over the absence of the representative of Islamabad High Court (IHC) from the committee meeting, directed to write a letter to Registrar Islamabad High Court to bring it in the notice of Chief Justice IHC.

The meeting of the sub-committee of the PAC was held with the chair of its convener Sardar Ashiq Gopang here Wednesday in which the grants and demands of federal ombudsman, President House, Anti-Narcotics Division, Statistics Division, Ministry of State and Frontier Regions, Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission, Senate secretariat and Islamabad High Court for the year 2008-09 were examined.

Except IHC, the grants of all the other departments and ministries were settled but the matter of grants of Islamabad High Court was deferred as no representative of Islamabad High Court attended the meeting.

The Audit officials told the sub-committee of the PAC that even no departmental Accounting Committee meeting was held.
