Four rickshaws set on fire

LAHORE: Some unidentified people burnt four rickshaws over an unknown issue in Raiwind police limits on Wednesday. Police registered a case on the complaint of one Jamshed. The rickshaws were parked in Baray Kumar Wala when they were set on fire.

found dead: A 62-year-old man was found dead in his room under mysterious circumstances in Naseerabad police limits on Wednesday. The man was identified as Noshad of Waris Road, Firdaus Chowki. On the day of the incident, he was sleeping in his room when his son tried to wake him up, but he did not awake.

illegal traveller: FIA Immigration Officials Wednesday arrested a passenger after he landed at Allama Iqbal Airport from South Africa on an emergency passport.The passenger, Nasir Mehmood of Umer Kot, travelled abroad from Lahore on a visit visa in 2014. Later, he went to Kenya and from there he entered South Africa via road without travel documents, the FIA official said. FIA officials arrested him and handed him over to FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for investigation.

warned: Pakistan Railway Assistant Transportation Officer and Commercial Inspector visited Lahore Railway Station and inspected vending stalls here. The officials charged fine to the vendors and restaurants on selling unauthorised brands. Substandard crockery of restaurants was also wasted there. The platform inspector was reprimanded by the officials over poor sanitary measures at the stalls. Duty officer also warned the vendors to display price list.
