Disallowing livelihood
March 21, 2018
Some Balochistan-based oil refineries and power companies have placed an undeclared ban on fishing near the Churna Island in the Arabian Sea, between Gadani and Mubarak Village. This has caused immense difficulty for the fishermen of Mubarak Village. Guards stationed near the area harass the fishermen if they attempt to fish near those waters.
Several fishermen have complained that the guards of these refineries resort to aerial firing as soon as they see fishing boats. It is humbly requested to the management of these factories to take action against their guards or we have the right to protest against this inhuman attitude.
