SC disposes of Shoaib Sheikh’s bail plea

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday disposed of a bail application filed by Shoaib Sheikh, owner of Axact and Bol TV over withdrawal of the appeal.
A three-member bench of the court headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa heard the bail application filed by Shoaib Sheikh against Sindh High Court's order. The court directed the trial court to announce verdict without influencing court observations in this regard on merit.
Shahab Sarki advocate on behalf of Shoaib Sheikh said that no money laundering proof came against his client. However on this Justice Khosa said that accused Shoaib Sheikh issued 116 cheques of Rs170 million asking what any other purpose might be if not money laundering.
