Islamabad: Owing to negligence on part of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the IJ Principal Road has become dangerous for all kinds of traffic due to dangerous spots at different places.
Some highly dangerous spots which are not visible and have remained un-noticed by the civic body has resulted in numerous accidents of motorcycles. These spots have developed at such places where the cemented portion of road meets charcoal portion. As there is difference in level of two portions of roads from Pindora Chungi to traffic signal of 9th Avenue Stadium Road, every day motorcyclists are seen losing control and falling while changing their track.
The commuters feel that a few hours work with machinery is required to remove the fault before any of motorcyclists loses his life. "I lost control of my motorcycle when I was returning home after picking my daughter from academy at one of these spots. We both were injured. Luckily we escaped running over by any other vehicle," Muhammad Anas, one of victims said.
