MKRMS Seminar: ‘Life of Holy Prophet (PBUH) a role model for all’

LAHORE: The life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a role model for everyone and all the blessings of Allah are attached to it. These views were expressed by the speakers in Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) seminar held here.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Mir Khalil-ur-Rahman Memorial Society (MKRMS) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accounts of Pakistan (ICMAP). Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana was the chief guest of the seminar.

Wasif Nagi (Pride of Performance and Senior editor Health, Education, current affairs and MKRMS Chairman, Dr Fraeed Ahmad Paracha (Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami), Maulana Dr Raghib Naimi (Jamia Neemia Lahore), Khawaja Khawar Rasheed (Acting Chairman Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Zia Mustafa Awan (President ICMA Pakistan), Syed Ali Asjad (Chairman Lahore branch Council ICMA Pakistan), Rizwan Ali (Member Pakistan ICMA), Maulana Muhammad Hussain Akbar (Chairman Minhaj-ul-Husnain), Dr Syed Khalid Zulfiqar, Dr Khalid Zaheer (Vice-President Al Mawrid), Ziaul Haq Naqshbandi and Khurshid Kamal (Religious Scholar) were among the speakers of the seminar.

Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said, “An ordinary man cannot speak about the life of the Prophet.” He gave the reference of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad’s statement that people follow Seerat-un-Nabi after Quran but I started following Quran after knowing Seerat-un-Nabi. He recited Maulana Zafar Ali Khan’s stanza with teary eyes. He said that Prophet (PBUH) has set the golden rules of trade. We should make efforts so that our students can learn from the Prophet’s life. Our Prophet was an honest and truthful trader.

The governor appreciated the efforts of Jang group and said this kind of journalism is equal to prayer. And Mir Khalilur Rahman’s name will always be a source of hope and enthusiasm for journalists' life. Islamic banking is increasing day by day. We are proud followers of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

Maulana Dr Raghib Naimi said our Prophet has clearly said no to betting, gambling and interest. The economy has a direct connection with the faith of traders. Our religion has forbidden deceit.

Khawaja Khawar Rasheed said that 1400 years ago our Prophet (PBUH) has said to write down every financial detail to avoid any misunderstandings. Important points of international ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 have been taken from the Prophet’s life.

Zia Mustafa Awan said that Our Prophet (PBUH) emphasised on getting a business education. He has presented the golden rules of marketing, financial management and human resource. With the all higher posts, he also explained the rights of labour management.

Wasif Nagi said that MKRMS has been working since 1992 for the awareness of people in different subjects. This is the legacy of Jang group to educate people. Rizwan Ali said that as the saying goes that business has nine parts of blessings while employment has one.

Ali Asjad said that we have been organising this seminar for last eight years. And we will continue to arrange this seminar in future also. Hafiz Fareed Ahmad Paracha said that in Malaysia and Indonesia the reason of Islam’s popularity is honest traders.

Maulana Muhammad Hussain Akbar said that swearing while selling goods is not a noble thing to do. Muslims should do more trade. Dr Syed Khalid Zulfiqar said that traders love the teachings of Prophet (PBUH) but they do not follow them properly. Dr Khalid Zaheer said that we can only earn paradise by following the right path of honesty and truthfulness. Ziaul Haq Naqshbandi said that we should not give a loan to our relatives. Instead of that loan, we should help them to establish their own business with that money.

Khurshid Kamal said that Surah Quraish is all about the trade and its rule we should follow the teachings of Islam to get prosperity.
