Punjab Tianjin varsity inaugural on 23rd

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashhood has said the inaugural ceremony of the proposed Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education (PTUT) will be held on March 23 in which Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief guest.

A temporary campus of this university has been set up in Township Lahore whereas permanent campus will be constructed on Raiwind Road, he added.

The minister said while visiting the temporary campus of PTUT, Township Campus, on Thursday. Addressing a meeting at PTUT, he said the plan of Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education was made possible due to ‘Punjab Speed.’ He said agreements had been signed with three Chinese universities for setting up of this university in which Tianjin University of Technology and Education, Tianjin Chenjian University and Tianjin Polytechnic Universities were included.

Electrical, mechanical, auto-mobile, civil, architectural, textile and fashion designing as well as Chinese and English language courses would be offered by the university and required professional staff, including designers and heads of departments, would be arranged from China.
