Napa Int’l Theatre & Music Festival
The Napa International Theatre & Music Festival is running at the National Academy of Performing Arts until March 31. Shahnama
Mudassar Manzoor’s solo exhibition titled ‘Shahnama: A Journey Towards the Self’ is running at the Chawkandi Art gallery until March 21. Traditionally, artists have painted stories from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh following the text, as opposed to today’s artists who find their own interpretation. Nostalgia
Attia Rashid’s solo exhibition titled ‘Nostalgia’ will open at the ArtChowk gallery today and run until May 25. Attia’s work is an exploration of the nostalgia notion, offering a new interpretation of the topophilia concept. Spending part of her life in Pakistan and part in the United Kingdom, she explores her paradoxical feelings of being physically in one place and emotionally in another. Manzil
To safeguard Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage as manifested through its indigenous craft traditions, the exhibition titled ‘Manzil’ presents 13 collaborations between designers and craftspeople. The exhibition, which is running at the Koel Gallery until March 22, is the inaugural initiative of the Pakistan Crafts Council in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.
