Ink and soles
The final outcome of the hatred that was being sown for the last four-and-a-half years by some politicians was witnessed by a large number of people. The two separate incidents – a shoe thrown at Nawaz Sharif and ink thrown at Khawaja Asif – that occurred the weekend demonstrate the frequency with which PML-N leaders are being targeted by some people. The incidents cannot be regarded as isolated ones.
Whatever is happening is part of an organised effort to defame the ruling party. Is this why our founding fathers fought so hard for Independence? Have we stooped so low that attacking politicians and hurling abuses at parliament and the National Assembly brings us contentment? The soul of the Quaid will be in great distress after seeing what is happening in this land of the pure.
