LAHORE: To observe International Women Day an awareness walk and a symposium were held in Lahore General Hospital on Thursday in which a large number of lady doctors, nurses and medical students participated.
The walk and symposium held under the aegis of Post Graduate Medical College and Ameer Uddin Medical College highlighted the importance of respect for women. Prof Fakharun Nisa was the chief guest while Prof Samia Malik was guest of honour in the symposium held at the auditorium of Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences. In his concluding address, Principal PGMI Prof Dr Ghias un Nabi Tayyab said that some years back women were working only in the health and education fields but today female participation being observed in army, judiciary and other sectors.
