SARGODHA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has charged that the court’s decisions are reflective of revenge and the institutions are apparently acting in unison against Nawaz Sharif.

While talking to media in Sargodha on Friday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said a perception should not formed that the state institutions have become a party, adding it is beyond comprehension as to what they want to achieve. Ruling out fair and transparent Senate elections, he said the PML-N nominees have been asked to contest as independent candidates and a lot of money is being spent to win Senate seats. He said complications are being created for the Senate election, therefore, all the political parties must take cognizance over it.

Later addressing the Mufti Mahmood Conference in Sargodha, Fazl said the governments are formed and dissolved in the parliamentary politics. He said when democracy strengthens, the conspirators get frustrated. He said today the same game is being played with Nawaz Sharif. Politicians, he charged are being declared corrupt and the institutions are drawing revenge in the guise of accountability. All the institutions, he alleged are hell bent to declare Nawaz Sharif corrupt.

This tendency is bringing the institutions on a collision course, whereas it is the time for all the institutions to move ahead in the larger national interest. Without taking names, he said some people want institutional clash and want to remove Nawaz Sharif and his family from the political scene.
