The Sindh government has approved the construction of a multi-storey underground bus station at the Numaish traffic intersection in Karachi. One of the floors of the station will be used as a retail commercial area which will be developed under the public-private partnership.
This is a laudable step which will help tackle the city’s traffic issues. It is hoped that more such projects will be launched in the future to streamline the traffic situation in Karachi.
