MANSEHRA: A child was killed and his seven family members sustained injuries when a mini wagon plunged into a deep ravine at tourist resort of Shogran on Monday.
It was learnt that the family was on its way back home in Dodial after a recreational tour to Shogran. The vehicle skidded off the road and it plunged into deep ditch. The local people rushed to the scene and retrieved the dead and injured persons.
The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Balakot wherefrom they were referred to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital. Abdul Rehman, 8, died instantly and his father Mohammad Munawwar, mother Faiza Munawwar and other members of family including Maryam, Mohammad Fayyaz, Tooba Fayyaz, Umar and Fatima were injured in the accident.
