Political activists join PTI

LAHORE: Hundreds of local leaders of PML-N, PPP and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) from NA-122 have announced joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to a press release issued here on Sunday, around 500 local leaders in the presence of PTI Central Punjab President Abdul Aleem Khan announced their resignation from their old parties and join hands with Imran Khan in future in NA 122. In a well organised function here at Chairman Secretariat from PP-147 Youth Wing President of PML-N Dr Kashif Awan, Councillor UC118 Tarik Khan Laloo, UC Ward 1 Haji Iftikhar Chacha, President Youth Wing Mohammad Umer Afridi, President Nawaz League Hope Road Zeeshan Akbar Khan, President Ward No.3 Maalik Shah, President Ward 2 Qudrat Ullah Shah, from Ward No. 4 Ameer Abbass announced quitting N League and joining PTI immediately. PPP office-bearers from PP-147 of NA 122 who met Abdul Aleem Khan and joined PTI are President UC 172 Malik Riaz, Councillor Ward 6 Afzal Qureshi and UC 185 PPP leaders Rizwan Ali Gujar, Agha Tariq and Malik Mohammad Ali. Jamaat-e-Islami leader of PP-147 Malik Riaz announced joining PTI, Similarly, social leaders Abid Saeed, Haji Nisar Ahmed also decided to join PTI and work under the leadership of Imran Khan to bring countrywide change in society. Speaking on the occasion, PTI president central Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan welcomed all those who joined PTI and said every responsible citizen would join PTI and strengthen the hands of Imran Khan to make Pakistan prosperous and strong. Abdul Aleem Khan said that in the elections of 2018 PTI would win with thumping majority in NA 122 like other constituencies of Punjab and people would vote for Imran Khan. MPA from PP 147 Muhammad Shoaib Siddiquee said that masses are with PTI and next general elections would be clear proof of it.
