‘Lodhran’ to be repeated in 2018 polls across Pakistan: Shahbaz
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the loud echo of the public opinion in Lodhran bye-election will be heard in the 2018 general elections also.
He said every constituency of Pakistan would act as the Lodhran constituency in the 2018 general elections and Niazi Sahib should know very clearly that decision were made with thumbs of the people, and not the fingers of umpire.
Addressing the public representatives and workers, Shahbaz said the PML-N government had won the hearts of the people through service, and its measures had won the hearts of people. He said historic projects had been launched in education, health, agriculture and other sectors. He said the country was moving on the road to economic revolution for getting a prominent place in the comity of nations and self-reliance. He said the PML-N government had taken measures for social and economic uplift of the country and created new economic opportunities due to revolutionary economic policies.
He said the people support the leadership which ignored the offer of $5 billion by the US and made Pakistan the first atomic power of the Islamic world. The CM said the PML-N rid the nation of energy crisis and the evil of loadshedding. He said the nation would not forgive those who obstructed progress and pushed the country to problems. He said those doing politics of allegations, lies and dual standards are not well-wishers of the country. He said negative elements had shown poor performance in their province and the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa are also annoyed with those who raised empty slogans. He said there would be only politics of public service now and there was no room for politics of allegations. He said selfless service of the public is his mission and he would continue discharging his duty of public service till his last.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in airplane crash in Iran. In his condolence message, the chief minister said we are standing with the people of Iran during this hour of grief and we share sorrows of the bereaved families. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Also, the CM expressed grief and sorrow over the death of renowned religious scholar and former chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F Maulana Rasheed Ludhianvi. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family.
