KARACHI: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on Thursday announced remodeling and expansion of Expo Centre Karachi to nine halls and one convention centre with an investment of Rs6 billion to Rs8 billion.
Addressing value-added textile exporters at the PHMA House, TDAP Secretary Jam Inamullah Dharejo said that the authority would bear 30 percent cost of the project, while the remaining amount would be funded from the federal government’s public sector development programme (PSDP) funding.
Initially, three new halls would be constructed, which will follow remodeling of existing six halls, he said.
The convention centre would have the capacity of 5,000 people. It would be a five-year project with multi-entry points in the expo centre.
