Tehsil officer among 3 booked

SARGODHA: On the direction of the ACE director, police on Tuesday registered a case against three employees, including the tehsil officer, over corruption charges. The ACE authorities said that complainant Mehr Allah Yar of Shahpur said in his application that accused Tehsil Officer (I&S) Muhammad Nasir and Shahpur TMA sub-engineer Hassan Akhtar in collusion with contractor Abid Hassan Shah had damaged national treasury by using defective material in the construction of a road in 2016. On the recommendation of inquiry officer Ghulam Muhammad, the ACE director ordered registration of a case against the said accused and assigned further inquiry to the Sargodha ACE circle officer.
