Peaceful protest
February 14, 2018
The Pakhtun protest in Islamabad has been called off after the prime minister promised to fulfil protesters’ demand. Undoubtedly, the protest proved that a group can present its demands in a peaceful manner. The presence of the Pakhtun leadership along with the support of ordinary citizens added more power to the movement.
This protest has demonstrated that brutality and injustice will not be tolerated in silence. Citizens will come forward to condemn tyranny and will raise their voices for justice. On the other hand, the fact that the government has listened to their demands and has promised to fulfil them hints at the fact that there is hope for a prosper Pakistan.
