It has been the regular practice of Lesco to deliver bills on either Fridays or Saturdays, giving a margin of just one or two working days for payment without surcharge. Now the SNGPL has followed suit.
The bill for the current month was delivered on Saturday (Feb 10) and the last date for payment was February 12. Any payment after the due date will be cleared after the payment of the late fee. Perhaps this is an ingenious method of increasing revenues.
