Drug abuse

February 11, 2018

The number of drug addicts in Pakistan is rapidly increasing. According to a report published by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), more than 800,000 people between the age of 15 and 64 are addicted to use heroin on a regular basis in which youngsters under the age 24 are more addicted to it. The number of these addicts is increasing at the rate of 40,000 per year making Pakistan one of the most drug affected countries in the world.

It is a shocking statistics and calls for the government’s immediate action. If reluctance will be shown, things will get even worse.
