LAKKI MARWAT: The police Friday claimed to have arrested an alleged child molester during a raid in Mammakhel village who had fled after committing the crime.

On February 6, the accused Qaiser and Rizwan had allegedly molested a 10-year-old boy in their guestroom in Mammakhel village near the Naurang town. The boy had told the police in his preliminary report that both the accused had held him along with his cousin Altaf hostage at gunpoint and then molested him. "The molesters had threatened me with dire consequences if I or my cousin narrated the incident before anyone," the affected boy claimed. “The molesters had fled the crime scene but a party of Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak Police Station arrested Qaiser an hour after the incident was reported," said Naurang DSP Murad Ali. He said that the cops had also seized a repeater gun and bullets from the arrested man. The police official said that Qaiser was a habitual pedophile and that he had spent some time in jail in a child molestation case in 2016. "He was released from prison after reconciling with the complainant party," he said. The official added that the local police continued efforts to arrest the other fleeing culprit Rizwan.
