DRAP forms panel to address bidders’ grievances
Islamabad: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) chief executive officer has formed a panel to address the complaints of bidders ahead of the entry into force of the procurement contract.
Set up in line with Rule 48 of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority Rules, 2004, the Grievances Redressal Committee will have the DRAP director (budget and accounts) as chairman and additional director (management information system) and deputy director (pricing) as members.
According to a DRAP office order, any bidder feeling aggrieved by any act of the procuring agency after the submission of his bid may lodge a written complaint with the committee about grievances not later than 15 days after the announcement of the bid evaluation report under Rule 35 of the PPRA Rules, 2004.
The committee will investigate and decide the complaint within 15 days of the receipt of the complaint. However, the lodging of the complaint will not warrant the suspension of the procurement process.
