Fifty-two shopkeepers were fined and a total of Rs124,500 in fines was taken from them in the latest crackdown on Wednesday.
The areas where action was taken were Liaquatabad, Gulberg, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Murad Memon Model Colony, Shah Faisal, Saddar and others.
A total of 18 milkmen, 21 shopkeepers of general commodities, two vegetable sellers, 21 fruit sellers, one flour seller and 10 chicken sellers were fined two profiteers were arrested.
