PESHAWAR: An applicant has alleged that he was deprived of admission to a master’s programme at the University of Peshawar due to the mistake of the examination section of the university.

One Muhammad Musa has alleged that the examination section issued him a detailed marks certificate on September 29 that showed him absent in the English paper.

The applicant said that he contacted the Controller of Examination Office for correction. “The examination section admitted its mistake but failed to issue the DMC on time,” Musa said. He added that his DMC was issued on October 25 while the aptitude test for admission was conducted on October 21.

He added that he had submitted an application to the admission section for considering his case as missing the test and the admission process was due to the mistake of the university.

Attempts were made to seek comments from Vice Chancellor Muhammad Asif, but he did not respond.

However, an employee of the university on condition of anonymity confirmed that the student had suffered due to the mistake of the university. However, he added that the case was still under consideration.
