The total number of Pakistani social media accounts is close to 45 million. There has been a rapid increase in the number of active users. It is good to note that the people of Pakistan are getting themselves familiar with the new technology. However, we should also pay attention to the dark side of social media.

Many teenagers also have an account on various social networking sites. It has been noticed that these young people get addicted to social media and waste a significant amount of time on the internet. Sometimes they become a victim of online scams, for example giving their parents’ credit card details, purchasing unnecessary items, etc. Parents must not let their children use the internet without supervision. Only a couple of hours should be given to children to use the internet.
