This is a big-money game and a short-cut to become rich overnight and therefore will never be acceptable to our legislators. How anyone can deny them the right to make money? Our legislators come together when their interests are at stake but when it comes to our national interests they remain divided even on fundamental issues. If the 22nd Amendment can be prepared in a bare minimum of time then logically electoral reforms can also be tabled in parliament in days. This simply shows that rules are made to ensure that the ruling party remains in power by hook or by crook. It is time people woke up from their slumber and got rid of professional politicians. Otherwise, the present crop of politicians will continue amending the constitution to serve their own interests.
