Special Olympics Games begin
ISLAMABAD: Special National Olympics Games 2018 rolled into action here at Pakistan Sports Complex on Thursday with athletes vying for top honours in badminton and table tennis in the first phase.
Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera inaugurated the games here in an impressive ceremony. Around one hundred athletes from around the country would chip in the event, whose first phase would conclude on January 21. The second phase would start from January 26 in Lahore in which athletes would compete in football and power-lifting disciplines.
The third phase would be held in Karachi in mid February, where competitions would take place in basketball, swimming, cycling and lawn tennis.The fourth and final phase would take place in Peshawar in which contests in athletics would be held.
