No smoke without fire
The irreversible effects of climate change can be observed throughout the country. It is, therefore, important to take measures to protect the environment from further damage. In this regard, we must identify the factors that are responsible for environmental pollution. One of the primary causes of air pollution in our country is the smoke that is emitted from vehicles.
Punjab Environment Protection Minister Begum Zakia Shah Nawaz Khan believes that the environmental protection department and the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHCP) should work together to increase awareness among drivers regarding air pollution and how their vehicles contribute towards it. All drivers and vehicle owners should be informed about the importance of tuning vehicles. It is heartening to note that the two departments will now work jointly to deal with the problem. Such small but meaningful steps will definitely help protect the environment.
