UAE to start social sector projects in Sindh, envoy tells CM
UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi, along with UAE Consul General in Karachi Naseer Huwaiden Al-Ketbi, called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House and discussed bilateral relations, said a statement on Tuesday
He told the chief minister that the UAE was going to start working with Pakistan in social sector such as a drive against polio and other health care programmes. The chief minister, welcoming the decision of the UAE government, said that there was a wide scope to support Pakistan, particularly Sindh.
"I have already declared emergency in health sector and have achieved some better results,” the CM said. Murad told the UAE diplomats that there were vast investment opportunities in Sindh in energy, renewable energy, mass transit and other sectors. The chief minister presented a memento, traditional ajrak and Sindhi cap to the visiting diplomats.
