Bukhari qualifies for Malaysian Tour No-1 main round

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Ali Shah Bukhari qualified for the main round of the $5000 Malaysian Tour No-1 at Seri Menanti, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, on Monday.
He defeated Siow Yee Xian of Malaysia 1-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-7 in the final qualifying round. He will now face fourth seed Valentino Bong from Malaysia in the main round. He had beaten Ahmad Al Mudhaf from Kuwait 11-7, 11-9, 11-4 in the first qualifying round.
It is to be noted that seventh seed Asim Khan and unseeded Zahir Shah from Pakistan are already in the main round. Asim is drawn against unseeded Ryan Pasqual from Malaysia and Zahir will play against second seed Geoffrey Demont from France in the main round.
