PFA destroys 44,000 liters of adulterated milk
LAHORE: Milk Safety Teams of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Sunday raided at scores of milk points in all the 36 districts of Punjab and recovered around 44,000 liter adulterated milk and discarded it on the spot.
The teams conducted raids at Ferozpur road, Saghian by-Pass, Shahdara and Bhaati Chowk and recovered huge quantity of substandard milk from milkmen and destroyed it.
Similarly, the Milk Safety Teams during inspection destroyed substandard 16,000 liter milk in Gujranwala, around 7,000 liters poor quality milk was discarded in Faisalabad and Sahiwal division.
The teams during the ongoing crackdown, inspected many milk points in Khanewal, Vehari, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Bahawalnagar and all districts of Punjab and recovered big quantity of unfit for consumption milk and destroyed on the spot.
