Prince of Gawalmandi emerges winner

LAHORE: Prince of Gawalmandi, the favourite pony of the main race Zahid Prince Cup lived up to the expectation in Sunday’s race at the Lahore Race Club.

On the other hand the six Fair Magic Plates have just one upset with the favorites winning majority of the races. The favourite of the opening race, Al Aalan had no difficulty winning the race while the place went to Sweet Miracle and the third place went to Anmol One. The foremost challenger of the race Baharul Kahil failed to deliver. The winners of the third race, Balre Pride upstaged the favorite Zil-e-Huma that slipped to second place while Magic Boy surprised everyone by winning the third place. Golden Bond which was expected to take second place with Dandla Queen believed for an upset came nowhere close to top three. In the third race, Dil Ke Rani as expected ruled the day and as of the place, Kasturi was an unexpected second. Fakhar-e-Niaz Biag secured third place. Silent Warrior, one of the pre-race favorite, did not show it was popular of. Ba Barkat overran Skype for the winner’s position with the later getting to second spot. Similarly, Neeli The Great having the tag of a surprising settled for a third position. The fifth race of the day finished in favour of favouirte Babay Da Rani and was followed by Sultan-e-Muazzam at second place. Hornet surprised everyone by getting the third position.

The sixth race of the day, which was Zahid Prince Cup was claimed by none other than the tagged horse Prince of Gawalmandi, it was followed by Voice of Silence at second position and Prince secured the third position. In the seventh race of the day, Marshall Attack came as the dominating force with the favouite Fair View taking the position and Dazzling shone at third place.
