‘Resources transparently used to help people’
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said official resources are trust of people and these are transparently utilized to facilitate people.
Talking to MPAs from various districts, who called on him here on Friday, the chief minister said the government brought a revolution of prosperity in the lives of the masses. “We have always prioritized national development because Pakistan belongs to all of us and different projects have been speedily completed to bring prosperity, ensuring transparency. We have to move forward keeping the national interests in mind to make the country stronger as politics revolving around personal interests is detrimental to the nation. We should be unified to move the country towards development.”
He said the PML-N always gave importance to national interests. “The nation wants quality health and education, peace and development. Public service is our mission which will continue forever.” He said elements involved in undue criticism of public welfare projects were enemy of people. Those boasting of a so-called revolution were actually deceiving the nation which would not forget them for lying and taking u-turns during the last four and a half years. He said people would reject these elements in the general elections and added the PML-N government served people dedicatedly. He asked the elected representatives to keep liaison with people and solve their problems. They should also play their role in timely completion of development projects, he said.
The MPAs included Shujahat Khan, Naeem Gull, Khalid Mehmood, Adnan Farid, Iftikharul Hassan, Karam Elahi and Shoaib Awaisi. Meanwhile, in a message on the death anniversary of youngest-ever Pakistani information technology expert Arfa Kareem Randhawa, he said Arfa was the most brilliant daughter of the nation, who brought home laurels with her intellect. She achieved successes in the field of IT at a young age and made the country famous worldwide with her God-given talent. He said brilliant girls like Arfa were a ray of hope and pride of the nation. The candle illuminated by her would glow forever.
