An acute gas crisis in Chagai district has caused major problems for residents. Although people have bought gas cylinders, not many have enough financial resources to afford this luxury.
Gas is essential for cooking and other household activities. In the absence of gas supply, people have started buying wood for domestic purposes. While taking the advantage of this situation, some profiteers have started selling wood at exorbitant prices. The provincial government must take notice of the situation. Steps should be taken for provision of uninterrupted gas supply.
