CSB reviews promotion cases
ISLAMABAD: The Central Selection Board (CSB) in its third meeting on Thursday reviewed the promotion cases of officials of Audit and Accounts, Inland Revenue, Railways and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and finalised the names of officials for promotion from grade 20 to grade 21.
Chairman Public Service Commission Naveed Akram Cheema chaired the meeting. According to sources, the Selection Board recommended the promotion of officials of Foreign Services including Muhammad Ayub, Khalid Ijaz and Janbaz Khan from grade 19 to 20.
The Pakistan Railways official Rao Waqar and official of Audit and Accounts Dr Iftikhar were recommended for promotion in grade 20. The board also recommended Naeem Ijaz, Zulfiqar Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed of Custom Group for promotion in grade 21.
On its first meeting on Tuesday, the Selection Board reviewed promotion cases of Police Service of Pakistan, Secretariat Group and the Ministry of Defence.
According to sources, the CSB reviewed promotion cases of 51 police officers of grade 20 and recommended promotion of 17 officers including Syed Imtiaz Altaf, Ali Amir Malik, Manzoor Sarwar Chaudhry, Ahmed Mukaram, Najaf Quli, Shahid Hanif, Kunwar Shahrukh, Khalid Mehmood, Jahanzeb Khan Jogizai, Sultan Azam Temuri, Ghulam Rasool Zahid, BA Nasir, Ehsan Sadiq, Ghulam Nabi Memon and Shahid Hayat Khan to grade 21.
The CSB discussed 100 officers’ promotion cases to grade 19 against 40 seats. They said the CSB recommended the names of Imran Mehmood, Ahmed Kamal, Fasihuddin, Mujahid Akbar, Yasin Farooq, Muhammad Saleem, Mehboob Aslam and Muhammad Saleem for grade 20.
On Wednesday, the CSB recommended 33 officials of the Administrative Group for the promotion in grade 21. The officials include Qaiser Majeed, Malik Faisal Mazhar, Muhammad Asif Waheeduddin, Mazhar Riaz Rana, Capt (R) Muhammad Khurram Agha, Syed Asif Haider, Syed Waqarul Hasan, Wasim Mukhtar, Kamran Ali, Shaukat Ali, Ali Sher, Dr Raza Mehmood, Muhammad Sohail Rajput and others.
