Dr Amjad to head PIMS

Islamabad: Subsequent to the retirement of Dr. Altaf Hussain on January 20, 2018, Dr. Raja Amjad Mehmood—the senior-most joint executive director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)—will assume charge as the hospital’s Administrator.
An official notification issued here on Thursday confirms that Dr. Raja Amjad, a grade 20 officer of the administrative cadre, will be the overall in-charge of all hospitals of PIMS. “The directors of various hospitals of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University will report to him, while he will report to the Vice Chancellor of the university,” states the notification, which has been issued by the university’s VC.
