QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) members of provincial assembly on Thursday jointly nominated former Balochistan Assembly's deputy speaker Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo as the chief minister of the province while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also decided to field its own candidate.
Abdul Quddus would submit his nomination papers for the post of chief minister to the provincial assembly on Friday morning. This was stated by PML-Q MPAs including Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali and Sardar Saleh Bhotani while PML-N MPAs Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Asim Kurd Gello, Syed Agha Raza, Mufti Gulab Kakar, Amanullah Notaizai, Mir Amir Rind and others decided to field a PML-N candidate.
The nominated chief minister said that he would try to resolve problems of masses in consultation with all the political parties and senior parliamentarians. Abdul Quddus said that Balochistan Assembly would complete its constitutional tenure and thanked all the parliamentarians for nominating him as the chief minister of the province.
He hoped that all the political parties would support him in the larger interest of Balochistan. He said that measures were being taken to provide job opportunities to the Baloch youth and to restore peace to the province.
