A son of a senior judge of the Supreme Court escaped a mugging bid due to timely action by his guard in Korangi Industrial Area on Wednesday morning.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Noman Siddiqui of the Korangi district said Saad Gulzar, son of Justice Gulzar Ahmed, told police he was a project manager of a pharmaceutical company and was going to his office with his driver and guard when two men tried to rob him at gunpoint near Gets Pharma. He said that when his guard timely responded to the situation, the muggers escaped from the scene on a motorbike. SSP Siddiqui said that apparently it was a mugging attempt, but they would investigate other aspects also. A case has been lodged and investigations have started.
