ZAB birthday ceremony: ‘PPP to show its strength in elections’
LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party is still the largest political force of the federation and it will prove its ballot strength in general elections.
This was stated by senior PPP leader and former adviser to PM, Ch Aslam Gill, while addressing a cake cutting ceremony held in connection with the 90th birthday ceremony of party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto here on Sunday. The ceremony was held at the residence of former MPA and Member Federal Council Dr Zia Ullah Khan Bangash. PPP leaders, including Vice President, Punjab, Sohail Malik, Shahida Jabeen, Khalid Butt, and a large number of party workers attended the birthday ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Aslam Gill said present rulers had pushed the country towards deep crisis but only PPP was capable of steering Pakistan out of it. He said Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave an identity to masses whereas Pakistan in the world was seen with respect in his era.
He said it was time to rebuild Pakistan on strong foundations and solution to the present crisis only lied in the implementation of Bhuttoism. Sohail Malik, in his address on the occasion, said workers were the real asset of Peoples Party and it would once again come to power from the support of the workers.
