Against child labour
Child labour is a serious global issue. According to Unicef, around 158 million children, aged from five to 15, are working as child labour worldwide. Poverty has forced millions of children to work. The situation in Pakistan is no different.
A private research firm recently reported that 49 percent employable people are out of job in Pakistan. No jobs mean parents do not have sufficient income to meet their monthly expenses. They have to send their children to work so that they could contribute towards household expenses. At an age when children should be going to school, many unfortunate young children are forced to work. The government and NGOs must work together to provide a safe environment to children of our country.
