Death sentence for boy’s murderers
HARIPUR: The court of additional district and sessions judge awarded death sentence to two accused persons in the murder of a boy in a land dispute case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge, Haripur, Ijaz Ahmad, awarded the death sentence to two brothers in the cold blooded murder case of the boy.
In the detailed judgment released on Thursday, the court held that the accused Ismail Khan and Afzal Khan, sons of Munawar Shah, a resident of Utla in Swabi district, are accordingly convicted under Section 302(b) of PPC and sentenced to normal penalty of death as Ta’zir for causing the death of Aqib Hussain.
The court ordered that the convict Ismail and Afzal shall also be liable to pay compensation under Section 544-A CrPC to the tune of Rs10,00,000 each to the legal heirs of deceased Aqib Hussain.
The compensation shall be recoverable from them as arrears of land revenue. However, the court acquitted the third accused Hussain Ahmad, son of Ameer Bahadur, a resident of Utla, Swabi district.
