The people of Peshawar will never forget 2014 for the pain it inflicted on them in the form of the December 16 tragedy and 2015 when on February 13 terrorists attacked an imambargah in the city.
So far the KP government has taken no such measures that can help instil a sense of security in the terror-stricken people of the provincial metropolis. The truth is that we live in a country where security implies that only politicians and the ruling elite are safe. Since the last few years hardly have we seen peace in our country and the cries of those who lost their loved ones never let us sleep at night. Where are we headed to? Does anybody realise the ordeal we have gone through so far? How much do we have to suffer? We need to find answers to these questions before we lose more lives and hear more cries.
