The Sindh government has launched a ‘Garbage Free Sindh’ campaign. During the last PPP tenure, Asif Zardari while visiting Karachi had announced a grant of Rs10 million for tree plantation to make Karachi green.
Although Rs10 million may have been spent Karachi is a city without many trees. Hopefully, this time around, the PPP-led provincial dispensation will deliver on its promise to make Sindh, Karachi in particular, free of garbage and pollution.
