ISLAMABAD: Senator Wasim Sajjad, former Chairman Senate and a former President of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) and Khawaja Saeed Hai have been made patrons of PTF during the annual general council meeting of the body held in Islamabad Thursday.
The meeting was attended by a number of Council Members and affiliates, including representatives of the four Provincial Associations and the ITA.
The President PTF Salim Saifullah Khan, chairing the meeting, briefed the Council members about the activities and achievements of PTF in 2017.
He shared the PTF’s vision for the future by explaining the development plans that have already been put into place and which will be further implemented in 2018. These include ITF coaching and officiating courses, junior training camps, participation in regional age group team events, hosting more ITF men’s futures and junior circuit events, as well as infrastructure development.
The visit of Frank Couraud, ITF Development Expert, was the first time since 1994 that such a high level ITF Official visited Pakistan. Upon his advice and recommendations, a
development department was created to oversee this crucial area that had not been addressed properly in the past.
