PML-N celebrates Nawaz Sharif’s birthday

LAHORE: The PML-N leaders, workers and supporters celebrated the 68th birthday of party’s president Nawaz Sharif by praying for his health and success at various cake-cutting ceremonies in the provincial metropolis.

The PML-N workers in large numbers gathered outside the Nawaz Sharif residence Jati Umra and cut the birthday cake of their beloved leader as they were dancing with enthusiasm and shouting slogans in his favour.

On the occasion, the PML-N president of Japan chapter Hafiz Mehr Shams gifted him a 1000-pound cake on his birthday that was printed with pictures of Quaid-i-Azam, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. The workers in Raiwind slaughtered a goat amid prayers to removal all kinds of adversities he (Nawaz is facing). The party workers in different parts of Lahore celebrated Nawaz birthday.

PML-N MNA and chairman National Assembly Standing Committee Sh Rohail Asghar and PML-N youth wing Lahore president Khurram Rohail Asghar held a special ceremony in which a number of cakes were cut for Quaid-i-Azam and PML-N chief. Hafiz Akram Gujjar, Malik Saeed, Mazhar-ul-Haq, Mian Sajid Rauf, Ch Nisar, Naseer Jutt and others participated in the function.

In another ceremony organised by the PML-N Women Youth Wing, general secretary Lahore Sajida Waseem and other members of the wing held a cake-cutting ceremony and prayed for the party head. A number of such gatherings were held at various party offices across the city.
